Monterey Bay state record white seabass?
79.2-lb. WSB is pending state record
SANTA CRUZ — An angler living in Santa Cruz and fishing in Monterey Bay has entered a pending new state record white seabass for consideration by Department of Fish and Game record keepers.
Justin Barry of Freedom, CA hooked his 4-foot, 11.25-inch seabass near Pajaro, which has been offering a hit and miss bite, said Corey Ragan at Bayside Marine. Weighed on certified scales at the harbor, the lunker weighed 79 pounds, 2 ounces.
More details can be found at the bayside website or in the pages of Western Outdoor News this week.
