LONG RANGE UPDATE

Rumors abound...Law expected before the new year

SAN DIEGO - Expect some changes for U.S. vessels fishing Mexican Waters to be announced by Mexican Immigration Department (INAMI) in the coming days or weeks.

Sources close to WON said that there will be a new visa requirement. It's just a matter of it being announced by INAMI branch of the Mexican government. Everyone - from private boaters to sportboat and landing owners - are still waiting for the official word.

While there's been a lot of questions about the new visa - Will it cost $30? How long will it be good for? Will private boaters have to get a visa per trip, or will a 180-day FM3 visa apply? There were no concrete answers as WON went to press Monday morning.

As soon as INAMI makes an announcement, the story will be on wonews.com and in the paper to follow.
