|The only thing missing is Central Coast albacore. From my photo collection to my freezer, this season's check off list, to stories to be told over seasons to come; those big guppies are something that somehow, someway, someday I want to do in my little boat after nighttime picking away at those big seabass that really seem to like it there above Point Conception.
The hooks have been in my shoulders all season, pictures of huge Monterey Bay white seabass, shots from a bite above San Francisco that had mixed salmon and white seabass in the squid, and then, naturally, there's the albacore. A good line of info and a few buddied sending now's-the-time texts and e mails really stretched out the skin.
With shots like this one from Virg's, it's tough to let all that it takes to pull a Central Coast roadie keep a guy from getting into the most exciting deal going in California in November.
Am I going? Probably not. Or can I pull it of before Cabo...
