Shooting Sports Fair returns to Raahauge’s
Big game and upland game bird hunters, shooting enthusiasts, clay bird shooters, reloading buffs and those who enjoy the many activities of the great outdoors should be happy to learn that the Shooting Sports Fair will be returning to Mike Raahauge Shooting Enterprises for a three-day event, scheduled for June 1 to June 3.

Billed as the “only hands-on gun show in the West,” this event brings together, at one of California’s finest shooting facilities, most all major firearms and shooting accessory manufacturers. This allows the general public a great opportunity to handle and test fire a wide variety of rifles, shotguns, pistols in many different calibers and also find out what has been newly introduced to the gun world. Not only is this event a great place to shoot a wide selection of firearm models, but it also offers up a great venue for entire families to enjoy what’s available outdoors.

Being able to test shoot firearms from Beretta, Benelli, HOWA, Savage, Ruger, CZ-USA, Stoeger, Mossberg, Springfield Armory USA, HK, Christensen Arms, Glock, Sig Sauer, TC, Walther and Smith & Wesson among others and to be able to check out the latest in hunting and shooting accessories, ammo and related hunting/shooting gear makes this show a must see attraction.

This show is geared to the firearms enthusiast, whether a first timer, curious about guns for the home, self-defense, or interested in getting involved in the shooting sports for the whole family. The Shooting Sports Fair is the place to join in with thousands of longtime shooters and novices in a safe, controlled and educational environment where you can shoot just about every firearm made by more than 20 manufacturers.

In addition to being able to check out all the newest in firearms and hunting/shooting accessories, factory reps from Federal and Fiocchi ammunition will be on hand along with representatives from Leupold, Strongpiont, CMC Triggers and the staff of Firearms Training Associates.

Along the range firing line, all booths will be staffed by trained experts in the proper and safe handling of all firearms. Shooters will get instructions on safe handling of the specific firearm they have selected to shoot before that rifle, shotgun or pistol is loaded, and protective hearing and safety glasses will be available.

The headline for Turner’s Outdoorsman’s 3,000 square-foot booth at Sports Fair - See it!.. Shoot it!... Buy it!.. speaks for itself for those in attendance who stop by this retailer’s shooting booth and on-site store, which offers savings on hundreds of firearms and accessories. Also on sale will be a ton of shooting sports accessories. In addition, the first 60 attendees that visit the Turner’s Outdoorsman booth will get a chance to spin the Wheel of Deals” inside the huge tent and save on some great specials.

Added to the many booths along the shooting range firing line and hunting/shooting related vendors, Sports Fair will provide an outstanding sporting dog show featuring some of the top gun dogs in the west under the expert handling of pro trainer Paul Cacciatori of Starlight Kennels. Lucas Oil Products is co-sponsoring a FREE fish pond for “catch and release” fishing only, there will be wildlife representatives to talk to about conservation issues, the Cowboyswill put on a good show, wildlife artists will be present and there will be other outdoor sports exhibits for the whole family to check out.

High Performance Lucas Oil Products is a major sponsor of Sports Fair, along with Moss Bros. Auto Group and Protect the Harvest. Show hours are Friday noon to 6 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $15 and children under the age of 14 will be admitted FREE all weekend long when accompanied by an adult. There will be a $2-off admission coupon available at Mike Raahauge Shooting Enterprises and all Turner’s Outdoorsman retail stores as well.

There is a great deal being offered for parking. The fee to park is only $5 and is also good for one raffle ticket for a chance to win a HOWA American Flag Chassis .308 rifle with a Nikko Stirling Diamond Long Range 30 MM 4-16X40 scope that is valued at $1,499.
