The U.S. Open first took place in 1981 and is the oldest of the big money bass tournaments. Held annually on the stern testing grounds of Lake Mead outside of Las Vegas, the U.S. Open demands the very best of bass pros and each year attracts the very best anglers from both East and West. This year's tournament is being held out of Calville Bay on Lake Mead from July 18 to July 21, with a special Tribute to the  Legends Dinner held Friday night, July 16 ant the host hotel, the Boulder Station resort in Las Vegas.
