LAKE HAVASU — Stripers continue to bite well in the morning hours for anglers chucking topwater baits, while afternoon anglers are faring well with cut anchovies. Catfish continue to hit live bluegill or cut mackerel, and bassin’ remains excellent on topwaters fished around the tules in the evenings. There are a few bass to be had in the afternoons on Senkos or drop-shot plastics. Redear are hitting nightcrawler pieces. ![]() SOMETHING FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY — This largemouth bass proves that Lake Havasu has a little something for the whole family. Mom had the casino, daughter Sarah went wakeboarding and skiing, and Jim Padilla landed this largemouth while fishing a wacky-rigged plastic worm in a cove on the California side behind the island. He released the fish after taking time for a picture with Sarah. |
