Equipment Review: Flambeau’s Portage Beta Duffle

Western Outdoor NewsPublished: Apr 14, 2017

Customizable, unsurpassed protection

The Portage Series provides the ultimate in durability, function, fit and finish for advanced anglers with advanced needs: Tournament co-anglers, drift boat guides and hardcore surf casters, to name a few.

A semi-rigid, foam-reinforced body allows Portage Series duffels and backpacks to hold their shape when empty for added convenience and the highest level of protection. Portage Series bags all feature Zerust waterproof and standard Tough Tainers to fight off rust, keeping valuable tackle newer longer.

Super heavy-duty 1260D nylon with vinyl backing and EVA compression-molded bottom combine with features like recessed work surface, hideaway rain covers, interior waterproof storage, measurement-marked straps and a 3-year warranty. The result is a tackle system that can take day-in-day-out abuse from anyone who's hard on the equipment and still look good while doing it.

The Portage Series includes duffels in two sizes - large (MSRP $150) and medium (MSRP $135) - as well as a large backpack (MSRP $150) and a sling (MSRP $44) designed to attach to the front of the Portage Pack.
