Equipment Review: New Team Lew’s Pro-Ti Speed Stick

Western Outdoor NewsPublished: Dec 12, 2018

Worthy of the Pro-Ti Name

When Team Lew’s unveiled the Pro-Ti Speed Spool SLP baitcast reel at the 2018 Bassmaster Classic in Greenville, South Carolina, customer service phones were ringing off the hook at the Lew’s headquarters in Springfield, Missouri. Anglers everywhere wanted to know how they could get their hands on the lightest, strongest reel Lew’s had every produced. Now, Team Lew’s unveils the rod worthy of the Pro-Ti name – the new Team Lew’s Pro-Ti Speed Stick.

The Pro-Ti Speed Stick features Lew’s exclusive multi-layered, proprietary LFS-X5 graphite blanks with Titanium NanoTechnology. What this means is extreme strength and sensitivity that is unmatched by any other brand in the rod making industry. Premium tangle-free Titanium frames with Zirconium inserts are light, sensitive and durable. The Lew’s exclusive SofTouch graphite skeletal reel seat keeps the reel strongly secured, and Winn® Dri-Tac split grips provides extreme grip comfort while fishing.

The Pro-Ti Speed Stick features a new, extremely innovative feature Lew’s brings to their line of rods in 2018 – the VTR System (Vibration Transfer Ring). The VTR provides direct contact with the blank just below the reel seat, which transfers vibration directly to the angler’s hands. This means heightened sensitivity and in turn, feeling the lightest bites.

The new Team Lew’s Pro-Ti Speed Stick is offered at $249.99 MSRP in the following casting models:

Length Power

6’8" M

6'10" MH

7'0" M

7'0" MH
