Fishing Equipment Review: Seeker’s new Stealth series rods

Western Outdoor NewsPublished: Apr 13, 2012

Seeker’s new Stealth series rods feature new PTU technology

Seeker Fishing Rods is on a mission. They’ve taken the tried-and-true actions of the American Series and developed an entire new line of rods. These rods make up the “Stealth” line.

Within the line you’ll find actions appropriate for fishing anywhere from 12- to 80-pound test. Yet, even with the 12-pound rated rod you will be hard pressed to blow it up. This is all due to a new emerging blended technology labeled PTU. This is a Seeker proprietary technology making it possible to have a thin wall blank that has the recoil of carbon and the durability of glass all in one affordable package. In the past, manufacturers could build lightweight rods while sacrificing durability. They could also build high durability rods while sacrificing weight. Through breakthroughs with the new PTU blended technology, you get the best of both worlds.

The Stealth series is available in 19 different models. There are conventional rods, spinning rods and trolling (all roller) rods. The ring guide rods (conventional and spinning) are equipped with a coated 316 Stainless Steel framed guide for anti-corrosion. They are double coat single wrapped for durability and weight savings. They have high-density EVA foam grips in keeping with the lightweight profile. Last but not least, they’ve been coated with a matte gray UV inhibitor to maintain the integrity of the blank throughout its life.

Stealth is rolling out to your local dealers now. Ask for Stealth by name at your local dealer.
