TUF-Line becomes the official line of the Alabama rig
TUF-Line has teamed up with Andy Poss, the inventor of the original Alabama Rig, to produce a collection of braided lines endorsed for use with this hot new lure.
“I tried almost every brand of braided line while I was developing the Alabama Rig and found that TUF-Line XP was hands down the best,” said Poss. “It casts better and handles the extreme abrasion that the weight of the rig puts on your line. It is also made in the U.S.A. and that is very important to me.
“The Alabama Rig is very different in the fact that line size does not seem to matter to the fish,” adds Poss. “I recommend using 80- or 100-pound test TUF-Line XP. The biggest reason for this is if I hang the bait up I can get the rig back. Sure I might straighten a hook or break a swivel but it beats losing the entire rig.”
