CARDIFF — Don't miss the fourth annual Tackle Show and Sale Feb. 9 - 11, a unique event offering used and antique tackle. This has become one of the 'must attend' used fishing tackle events of its kind in Southern California. The three-day Show/Sale/Trade Tackle meet for all interested Southwestern tackle collectors or anyone else who has an interest in fishing tackle, starts Thursday afternoon, Feb. 9, and continues through Friday night (public welcome both days: 2 p.m. - 7 p.m.). It starts at the Holiday Inn Express, 1661 Villa Cardiff Dr., Cardiff and moves to the Public show/sale on Saturday, Feb.11, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Ada Harris Elementary school auditorium, 1508 Windsor Road, a few blocks from the hotel. The Holiday Inn Express has set aside a block of 20 double rooms with plenty of room for tackle, at a cost of $85 plus tax per night which includes a great breakfast, free parking, exercise facility and pool/spa. The block of rooms will be held until two weeks prior to the 9th, so be sure and register before Jan. 26 to ensure that room rate. Contact the hotel at (760) 944-0427 and indicate that you are with the "Fishing Tackle Show" to ensure you get the rate and room location. Entry is free. To reserve one or more tables for the 'Show and Sale' on Saturday morning, the cost is $35 per table to offset the auditorium and table rental fees.
