SACRAMENTO — SB 1221 (Lieu), legislation that would outlaw the use of dogs for hunting bears and bobcats in California, passed off of the Senate Floor on May 21st on a 22 to 16 vote. The bill now moves over to the Assembly, where its first stop will be in the Assembly Water, Parks and Wildlife Committee in mid-June.
