Hunting Report: General Turkey Season Ends
General turkey season ends Sunday

SACRAMENTO — While the general spring turkey season is set to close on Sunday, May 6, the season extends for another 14 days for youth and archery hunters.
Junior licensed hunters may still use a shotgun during the extended season, but adult hunters are restricted to use of archery only. A limit of 3 bearded turkeys per season includes those taken during the regular season, and the extended season.
Top bird of the week reported to WON was a double-bearded tom measuring 9.75 inches each with 1.25-inch spurs, taken by Larry Abington near Arbuckle while hunting with guide Casey Stafford of CICC Outdoor Adventures.
