WONEWS NorCAL Calendar Update Targeting Aleutian Canada geese Western Outdoor News The Department of Fish and Game announced another generous waterfowl season structure for the 2010-2011 season, with good bag limit options. Nearly all waterfowl species populations were above management goals, with a few notable limitations. Scaup will have a reduced season, and pintails, while up from a few years back, are still under a two per day bag limit. Another bonus year in goose numbers has allowed extended and extra seasons in some hunting areas like the North Coast spring season targeting Aleutian Canada geese. There is even a special early large Canada goose season prior to the regular season in the Balance of State Zone.
