SACRAMENTO — Salmon season opens Monday, July 16, in the Sacramento River and elsewhere for a shot at huge run of fish heading our way. Read the regulations! Mon., July 16: RIVER SALMON FAIR GAME! — Central Valley salmon fishing opens, including the Mokelumne River, but will remain closed for the San Joaquin, Calaveras, Stanislaus, Tuolumne and Merced rivers and all other inland Central Valley areas for 2012.
