SACRAMENTO — Salmon season opens Monday, July 16, in the Sacramento River and elsewhere for a shot at huge run of fish heading our way. Read the regulations!
Water, Wetlands and Wildlife exhibit comes to Stanislaus County Fair July 13-16 for family fun. The NRA is having it's San Luis Obispo NRA dinner Saturday, and Cal Waterfowl holds the Sonoma/Marin pig feed on Sunday.

DFG wardens and staff from the Los Banos Wildlife Area and La Grange fisheries unit lead the interactive, family-oriented activities in the award winning exhibit. July 15 : NO MORE CRABBIN' — Last day of commercial Dungeness crab season in Del Norte, Humboldt and Mendocino counties. Details at www.dfg.ca.gov/marine/regulations.asp#commercial.
Mon., July 16: RIVER SALMON FAIR GAME! — Central Valley salmon fishing opens, including the Mokelumne River, but will remain closed for the San Joaquin, Calaveras, Stanislaus, Tuolumne and Merced rivers and all other inland Central Valley areas for 2012. Check individual river, Delta or river section. The full inland salmon fishing regulations are in the 2012-2013 Fishing Regulations Supplement at www.dfg.ca.gov/regulations/. The daily bag and possession limit is two Chinook salmon.
