Western Outdoor NewsPublished: Jul 31, 2012

SACRAMENTO — The Lake Almanor "make a Wish" tournament is being held out of Big Cove Marina on Saturday, and archery deer season for the A-zone ends on Sunday.

Show your support for hunters by attending the COHA/Cal Houndsmen dinner in Thornton on Saturday night, or CWA dinner in Lancaster and NRA supporters in Oakdale.

There's a hunter safety class being held both Saturday and Sunday in Stockton at the Waterloo Guns & Bocci Club, so getting your license is made easy.
