YUBA CITY — They didn’t necessarily catch big numbers of salmon on the Feather River last week, but most outing produced a couple of mostly bright king salmon. Some limits were taken by anglers lucky and persistent enough to intercept a new pod of fish moving through. Jerry Lampkin of TNG Motorsports scored salmon just below Thermalito Afterbay backtrolling a custom jointed Kwikfish. “Big” John Enos continued working the same area saying that he was getting a couple of nice kings an outing, including a 26 pounder by Eric Marayan of Yuba City. He said the fish were all “very, very nice.” Bob Bradbury of Johnson’s Bait and Tackle said fishing was “real good” at Shanghai Rapids on Sunday, and Bill Wilson of Yuba City caught his limit of kings while anchored up and letting a Silvertron spin in the current. His fish weighed 18 and 26 pounds. ![]() OUTLET DUO — Guide "Big John" Enos took Archey Gran of Folsom up the Feather River to below the Outlet Hole, and he had a limit within 1½ hours of fishg, ending up with these two trolling Enos' "Klingon" Kwikfish with a sardine wrap on July 24. |
