WONews READER REPORTS Reader Report by Amanda Smith ![]() Here we are again on the Kings River. Celebrating my 40th birthday and Father's Day for my hubby Scott. Justin has become our VERY enthusiastic fisher, and looks forward to every cast made, and fish caught. He caught this beautiful rainbow in the late afternoon, and was one of the fattest he caught, and the giggles he made as he reeled it in was awesome! Reader Report by Frank Santiago, San Diego ![]() I caught this 32-pound 4-ounce yellow on the Chubasco II half-day trip off La Jolla on Sunday, July 1. I was fly lining a sardine using a 9-foot Seeker Pinhead 10-30, Avet SX w/ MC spooled with 30-pound power pro braid and 20-pound Seaguar floro, ¾-ounce slider sinker. Deck hands Calem and Patrick helped on distracting the dogs and gaffing it after 20 minutes of armbusting fighting. Special thanks to Capt. Ernie and Richard for putting us on the fish. This was a personal best for local waters and am ever grateful! Ready to do it again this weekend! Reader Report by Sal Pisa, Burbank ![]() My dad took me out to catch my first yellowtail Friday, June 29 when he chartered the Fortune. My dad said we would fish with captain Bruce. I got jackpot with this homeguard as they called it. I am now hooked forever and 9 years old. It was all I could handle by myself. Rail lessons from my dad the night before helped. Thanks dad.
