SAN DIEGO -- What better place to have a mid-season boat show that captures the energy of outdoor summer fun on the water than the seaside recreation mecca of Southern California itself, San Diego.
Now in its sixth year, this boat show venue blends the elegance and serenity of beautiful Harbor Island, the luxurious Sheraton Hotel/Marina, and serene Cancer Survivors Park with the inescapable enthusiasm of people enjoying an active, outdoor lifestyle that has become synonymous with San Diego. The Harbor Island setting offers boat show attendees the opportunity to feel, touch and become immersed in the environment with hundreds of new and brokerage powerboats and sailboats, in-the-water and on-land.
Marine accessory products are also in abundance in a special on-land expo area immediately adjacent to the boats. Unquestionably, the San Diego Yacht and Boat Show has established itself as a premier event among southwest boaters.
The 2009 San Diego Yacht and Boat Show provides a festive seaside atmosphere where visitors can enjoy excellent cuisine catered by the Sheraton Hotel and quench a thirst at several outdoor cantinas including an on-the-docks food and beverage pavilion. And to further enhance your boat show experience, free family entertainment will be provided by live music, novelty performers and a host of live radio remote broadcasts by prominent San Diego stations.
For the children, boat show fun begins with free face painting, balloon sculptures and a kid's art contest with great prizes. Even if you're not a boater right now, you might be by the time to leave the San Diego Yacht and Boat Show, so welcome aboard! Boating is a recreational opportunity that deserves to be explored.
