St. Croix’s award-winning Legend Glass series

Legend Glass’ winning of the 2016 ICAST Best of Show – Freshwater Rod was a great industry accolade. Its real accomplishment is in winning the hearts of discerning anglers. The meteoric rise in 2017 of Legend Glass by St. Croix was no fluke. These rods quickly became the “go-to tool” for lovers of all things crankbait as well as other techniques where a moderate action rod makes all the difference in landing the fish.

Responding to overwhelming demand and a change to the B.A.S.S. rod length rule, St. Croix introduces 2 new Legend Glass models for 2018. St. Croix identified two areas that required immediate action; heavy target and deep water cranking. Answering those requirements, St. Croix introduces the LGC610MHM and LGC88HM models. The 6’10” medium-heavy power, moderate action model allows anglers pinpoint accuracy in the nastiest rock or wooded areas. The slightly heavier power helps wrestle fish from heavy cover. In 2017 B.A.S.S. allowed 8’+ rods for tournament use. The 8’8” heavy moderate model changes the game for deep cranking allowing for longer casts and keeping that bait in the strike zone that much longer.

Legend Glass rods feature premium 100% linear S-Glass blanks and utilize IPC tooling technology. In addition to St. Croix’s proprietary IPC tooling, all Legend Glass rods feature Fuji K-Series tangle-free guides with Alconite rings and a Kigan hook-keeper. The LGC610MHM utilizes the Fuji ECS reel seat while the LGC88HM features the Fuji PSS-SD palming reel seat providing the comfort anglers seek while fishing deep diving crankbaits. Two coats of Flex-Coat slow cure finish provide protection to all critical areas.

Legend Glass rods are designed and handcrafted in Park Falls, Wisconsin. Legend Glass rods retail from $240 - $260 and come with a 15-year transferable warranty backed by St. Croix Superstar Service.
